Smart #3 Electric Model Debuts with Impressive Power and Range

During the Munich Mobility Show, technical details regarding the new zero-emission Smart #3 model were unveiled. The base version promises 268 horsepower and an impressive range of up to 455 kilometers.

In mid-April, the automotive world was introduced to the electric Smart #3, marking the brand’s first foray into the SUV coupe segment. The car is set to hit European markets, and now we have a deeper dive into its technical specifications.

The base version of the Smart #3 will feature a single electric motor that delivers 268 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, and on a single charge, it boasts a range of up to 455 kilometers.

For those seeking more power and performance, a Brabus version will be available. This upgraded variant will have twin electric motors producing a combined 422 horsepower. The Brabus model can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. However, with the additional power, its range is slightly reduced to 435 kilometers. When it comes to charging, utilizing a 150 kW rapid charging station can take the battery from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Highlighting their participation in the Munich Mobility Show, Smart unveiled a special edition of the model #3. Dubbed the “25th Anniversary Edition,” this variant is adorned with a panoramic roof, red accent features, LED headlights, leather-wrapped seats, and a two-tone interior theme.

The car’s tech features are also noteworthy. It boasts a 12.8-inch central display, a 9.2-inch digital dashboard, and a 13-speaker Beats audio system.

European automotive enthusiasts won’t have to wait long to get their hands on this new electric offering, as Smart has scheduled its European market launch for the end of 2023.
