In a highly-anticipated move, American automaker Fisker has officially launched its newest addition, the Pear—an affordable electric crossover. With a starting price tag equivalent to roughly €30,000 in the US market, this new offering promises to be a game-changer.

Slated for an appearance at the Munich Auto Show, Fisker’s Pear positions itself below the Ocean model in the company’s lineup. The compact-sized crossover, stretching 4550 millimeters in length, boasts a design reminiscent of a compact-class hatchback. A noticeable front features slender headlights, a large enclosed air intake, and the model’s name inscribed between the lights, with the brand’s emblem taking pride of place on the bonnet. Black-painted side fenders and video cameras replacing traditional mirrors lend a futuristic touch, complemented by aerodynamic 20-inch wheels, with an option to upgrade to 22-inch ones.

The rear stands out with a LED brake light strip that encircles the entire rear window. The Pear’s roof design enhances aerodynamics, tapering towards the rear, and a protective shield enhances the rear bumper. Inside, Fisker maintains a minimalist aesthetic with a two-spoke flattened steering wheel. Horizontal slim vents stretch across the dashboard, underscored by ample storage spaces and contrasting color schemes.

A unique feature of the Pear is its Lounge mode, enabling all seats to fold down to provide a relaxation space. Depending on configurations, it comes in 5 or 6-seater variants. The 6-seater version provides a unique seating layout, with the front passenger seat and central console replaced by an extended seat, accommodating three passengers upfront. An optional rotating 17.1-inch screen enhances the Lounge experience.

While Fisker has remained tight-lipped about the engine’s power and battery specifics, they’ve revealed the Pear’s range: 290 kilometers for the smaller battery and 515 kilometers for the larger one.

Expected to hit the US market in 2024, it’s highly anticipated that European enthusiasts will soon get a taste of the Fisker Pear.
