Following the Abarth 500e, the Italian marque is set to introduce its second electric hot hatch, the Abarth Fiat 600e

In a groundbreaking move that signifies a transformative shift in the automotive world, Abarth is gearing up to introduce an electric performance variant based on Fiat’s recently launched 600e. The forthcoming model, christened the Abarth 600e, marks the Italian brand’s second foray into the electric hot hatch segment, succeeding the Abarth 500e.

Over a month ago, Fiat enthralled the market with its 600e, an electric crossover that shares its foundational platform with the Jeep Avenger. While plans are in place to roll out a hybrid version of this Italian crossover in 2024, the spotlight now shifts to Abarth’s impending electric release.

Details sourced from the prominent British publication, Autocar, suggest that the new Abarth model could potentially harness the electric engine of the Abarth 500e, which boasts an impressive 152 horsepower. In terms of performance, automotive enthusiasts can anticipate the Abarth 600e to clock 100 km/h in roughly 7 seconds. Powering this electric dynamo is the same 54 kWh battery that drives the Fiat 600e, though higher performance levels may translate to a slightly reduced range.

The launch timeline for this exciting performance model remains under wraps, as anticipation continues to build.
